About Styled Spaces Co
Interior design for real homes.
Real budgets. Real life.
There is a version of interior design that lives in magazines and on perfectly curated Instagram feeds. It involves unlimited budgets, professional photographers, and homes that no one actually lives in.
This is not that.
Styled Spaces Co exists for the people who look at those images and feel inspired — and then feel immediately overwhelmed. The people who love three completely different design styles and cannot work out how to combine them. The people who have a perfectly good home that just does not quite feel like them yet.
If that sounds familiar, you are in the right place.

The Story
Three spaces. Three budgets.
Three sets of constraints.
I have a degree in interior design. But the education that matters most did not happen in a lecture hall — it happened in three very different spaces.
My first real project. A long-wheelbase van that I fitted out from scratch, working out how to make every single centimetre count. All-wood features, a hexagon tile splashback with copper grouting, and the realisation that small spaces are not a limitation — they are a design challenge that forces you to be intentional about everything.
A curved living room. A turret. Genuinely awkward angles that most people would have painted magnolia and given up on. Instead: exposed brickwork celebrated rather than hidden, a two-tone bedroom wall that doubled as a headboard feature, a glass-walled walk-in wardrobe that made a small room feel larger, and a full bathroom renovation that somehow fitted a bathtub with shower into a footprint that had no business containing one. All on a budget that required creativity over cash.
The most complete expression of everything I believe about design. A full fit-out from scratch — electrics, underfloor heating, skylights, solar panels, and an interior that took every lesson from the previous two projects and applied them properly. Sage lower walls with limewash grey above. Open-plan kitchen with ash worktops and open shelving. Slatted Scandinavian ash panels in the hallway. Pull-out desks built into cabinetry. A space that is entirely, unapologetically mine.
In between all of this, I spent years working in architecture — close enough to the industry to understand how it works, far enough away to see how inaccessible it can feel to most people. Coming back to design through Styled Spaces Co is the return to roots I have been working towards.
What This Site Is
Styled Spaces Co is a practical, honest guide to interior design for people who live in the real world.
Guides that work with normal budgets— not editorial budgets.
Advice that respects your space as it actually is— not as it would be if you knocked through two walls and added a roof terrace.
Permission to mix styles— because the idea that you must pick one aesthetic and stick to it rigidly is one of the most unhelpful things the design industry has ever decided.
Tools that help you make decisions— the Style Quiz, the Colour Palette Studio, the room guides — all designed to reduce the decision fatigue that stops most people from starting.
